Community Dental Care
Community dental care is without a doubt a boon to society. This is because not all dental care services are available in general dental care settings, and not all people can afford to get the treatment offered by “high street” dental practitioners. Community dental care bridges the service gap existing between the affluent people and the masses, by ensuring that everyone receives the necessary oral care.
Dentists serving in communities work in a variety of locations, and often serve a large number of patients. The service can be delivered right at a patient’s home, a nursing home, in a community clinic, or sometimes even in a mobile clinic. It is often provided for free, and, in most cases, funded by the government.
